Best Practices for Children's Ministry
The Discipleship Place for the Church of the Nazarene just released a new course, Children's Ministry Academy, consisting of 20 lessons on best practices for Children's Ministry. This course is available for anyone and is free.
However, in order to maximize the educational impact of this course, The Discipleship Place has begun to pilot a six-month coaching program with Pastor Katy Weber, Oregon-Pacific District children's ministry director, that utilizes this course as its foundational curriculum. With the cooperation of Oregon-Pacific District Superintendent Stan Reeder, this six-month coaching pilot program is being evaluated with the help of the Global Ministry Center Research Department, who created a pre- and post-course survey that will evaluate the course, and confidence improvement of those being coached.

The Discipleship Place is intended to equip lay persons for ministry in local churches, communities, neighborhoods, families, and workplaces. The Discipleship Place is a superb way to receive training as an adult worker, children's worker, youth worker, Sunday School superintendent. It is also an excellent way for you to grow as a disciple of Christ.
