Not Somehow, But Triumphantly: Part II
God will take us through if we cooperate. In every situation, there is a right attitude that can be taken. At every turn there is a Voice saying, “This is the way; walk in it” (Isaiah 30:21). We do not have to work out the strategy of victory for every circumstance.
We have to choose once for all the will of God, get a holy heart, then commit ourselves to the principles of the Bible. In every questionable issue, we need to find the Christlike attitude to take, then act accordingly and let God do the rest. In other words, obey and trust. Try it.
Dare accept the challenge; refuse to blunder, slide, and guess your life away.
Dare to accept God’s definitions and God’s solutions and you have God’s resources—Not somehow, but triumphantly!
Trust your great moments. Our world is full of shifting standards and ideas. Many conflicting voices are calling. The great moments of your life are those moments when, through all the confusion, God got a message through to you, plainly and certainly. You saw things in eternity’s light, the light of reality. In those moments, you saw truth. You must hold to them as to your life; indeed, they are your life. Prize the moments of revelation. They represent God’s map of operations for us. Not somehow, but triumphantly!
God will not waste a consecrated life. You have something, someone to live for; life has a meaning and a purpose. Hold fast when the days seem drab and the routine presses in. There is a specific plan for your life. Don’t be discouraged by circumstances into stopping short of it. Hold fast to His choice for you. It will prove best; He sees the whole thing—Not somehow, but triumphantly.
Sooner or later facts must be faced. You cannot run away from weakness. It will follow you around the world and meet you at your door on your return. Better to face it now, and deal with it honestly, by the help of God—Not somehow, but triumphantly!
There is danger in a divided personality; one interest should be in control. When many attractions and distractions clamor for attention, just one principle must determine our decisions and attitudes. To be like Christ is the only goal that will not shrink us in size—Not somehow, but triumphantly!
Prayer for the week: My Father, keep me fully committed to the plans I know You have for me. Even when I am discouraged, I am assured that You will not waste a consecrated life. Let me live with one goal, one principle—to be like Christ. Amen.
