Q&A with Kim Lundell

Kim Lundell is the Korean mission director under USA/Canada Mission/Evangelism. She pastors the Walnut, California, Blessing Korean Church of the Nazarene outside Los Angeles. Her husband, Peter, pastors Walnut Community Church of the Nazarene.

Q. How long have you lived in the U. S.?

A. About 24 years. God called me to prepare for ministry when I was a lay missionary teaching English in South America.

Q. What is your concept of joy?

A. That my whole salvation is found in Jesus Christ after coming from polydemonism, Confucianism, and Buddhism.

Q. What is your greatest fear?

A. Losing my fire for the Lord.

Q. Which historical figures interest you the most?

A. John Wesley and Mary Lee Cagle.

Q. What trait most concerns you in others?

A. Dishonesty.

Q. What trait most concerns you in yourself?

A. Time management.

Q. What was your most unique destination?

A. The international airport in Oklahoma City. That is where I first set foot in the U.S.

Q. What skill do you appreciate in others?

A. High-tech business skills—I always need help in that area.

Q. When and where were you happiest?

A. I am always happy when I lead someone to Jesus Christ. But my happiest years were my student days at Southern Nazarene University.

Q. What do you consider your greatest achievement?

A. Helping more than 20 churches get started.

Q. What is your description of holiness?

A. The Spirit-filled and Spirit-led life with a full of love of God.

Q. If you were to change occupations, what would you like to do?

A. Be an educator.

Q. What is your motto?

A. Faithful and fruitful.

Q. How would you like your epitaph to read?

A. She lived and died for Christ.
